Responsibilities and Guidelines

At Macalester, we utilize industry best practices to keep our customer’s data safe and secure.   To keep our customer’s data secure we comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard PCI-DSS, please see Macalester’s Safe Credit Card Handling Policy for more details. Anyone who will be borrowing an in-person credit card system, it is required that you:

• View the step-by-step guides found on the Credit Card System How-to-Guide Page
• Complete the credit card system post-training assessment (google form) before accepting payments
• Departments who have an in-person credit card system, are required for each person operating the credit card system to train and complete the credit card system post-training assessment at least once a year.
