Jane Holmstrom is a Visiting Professor of Anthropology at Macalester College with a PhD in Integrative Anthropological Science from the University of Central Florida. She earned her Masters in Anthropology at the University of West Florida. Her primary focus of research is the reconstruction of life history, particularly diet and migration, through the analyses of stable isotope analysis and geographical information systems (GIS). She has worked on various archaeological projects since 2011 in North America, Europe, and Near East.
Holmstrom is currently working on projects in southern France, investigating ways in which the evolution of the Christian Church impacted diet, mobility, status, and identity during the Medieval Period. She also received a DLA Faculty Fellowship for the 23-24 academic year.
