Megan Vossler (she/her) teaches a wide range of drawing-based courses at Macalester. She received her BA in Visual Art from Brown University, and her MFA in Visual Studies from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her large-scale drawings and mixed media works have been exhibited in museums and galleries nationwide, including shows at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the De Young Museum, and the Wooster Art Museum. 

Professor Vossler’s work has been recognized by some of the nation’s most prestigious arts organizations. She has received artist fellowships from the McKnight and Jerome Foundations, and was a recipient of a competitive residency at Yaddo, the historic artists colony in Saratoga Springs, New York. Her ongoing collaborative drawing and storytelling project, Ekphrastic, has supported in part by an Art Works Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Professor Vossler has received multiple grants in support of her artwork from the Minnesota State Arts Board, and for her work with students from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. She is currently a global Fulbright Specialist in Visual Art, a recipient of the 2024 Macalester Faculty Exceptional Performance Award, and a Digital Liberal Arts Fellow at Macalester for her forthcoming Open Educational Resource, Figure Drawing for Every Body.
