One distinct advantage of Macalester’s urban location is the excellent internship opportunities in the Arts. Macalester students have interned at every major museum, gallery and art nonprofit in the area. Our students are in demand as self-directed, intelligent, adaptive, broadly educated, culturally sensitive workers with excellent educational preparation for arts internship service. Many Art History and Studio students use their excellent Macalester background to secure internships at major museums across the country and internationally.
