Martha is an ecologist who uses mathematical models to understand how migratory animals respond to climate change and how pathogens evolve following spillover events.  She is currently in the 5^th year of her PhD at the University of MN.  Outside of work, Martha enjoys trail running, knitting, cross-country skiing and gardening.
