Martha is an ecologist who uses mathematical models to understand how migratory animals respond to climate change and how pathogens evolve following spillover events.  She is currently in the 5th year of her PhD at the University of MN.  Outside of work, Martha enjoys trail running, knitting, cross-country skiing and gardening.
