Megan is a neuroscientist interested in comparative neuroanatomy. Her thesis research focused on the connectivity of the posteromedial cortex which is the posterior hub of the Default Mode Network. The Default Mode Network is active during rest and also during autobiographical thought. She investigated the corticostriatal connectivity of the posteromedial cortex in rats and macaques with tract-tracing methods and compared the anatomical connectivity and functional connectivity in macaques. When she’s not teaching she loves swing dancing, running and playing with her daughter.
