Urban Farm, Not Toxic Harm: Environmental Justice for East Phillips Teach-In and Fundraiser

Join Sunrise Twin Cities to learn about the East Phillips neighborhood’s fight to build a community urban farm! The East Phillips neighborhood, in southern Minneapolis, is predominantly BIPOC and is one of the most polluted neighborhoods in all of Minnesota. Right now they are at the middle of an environmental justice fight against the city of Minneapolis who plans to build a public works facility in their community. Joe Vital, organizer from the East Phillips Neighborhood Institute, will be speaking. Join us to learn more about how you can support your neighbors in Minneapolis!
