"Through the Narrows" Performance
In honor of Native American Heritage Month, the DML and the CRSL invite students to an off-campus puppetry performance. Award-winning puppetry artists Chris Griffith (Cherokee Nation tribal member) and Shari Aronson share stories inspired by their own ancestry: a 3,500 year-old Jewish woman recounts her crossing of the Red Sea, and a 6-year old Cherokee boy bears witness to the Trail of Tears. With the live music of instrumentalist Greg Herriges, slide across centuries and continents to travel from struggle to triumph. Transportation will be provided to/from campus, and will depart Macalester at 6:45pm. For a ticket, indicate interest at https://tinyurl.com/ThrThrNarShow.
