So You Want to Make an Oral History: A Conversation and Workshop with Myrl Beam and Amy Sullivan

Curious about making an oral history project? Have a project idea but don’t know where to start? Want to interview someone and need to learn how? Join Macalester faculty members Amy Sullivan and Myrl Beam, who will discuss their work as oral historians of the opioid epidemic, trans life, and more. The conversation will cover best practices and ethical considerations when creating oral histories, along with a short demo of technology you can use for interviewing. The workshop is intended for anyone who wants to learn more about the process of documenting oral histories.
