One Health Symposium
Tuesday, March 7th from 5-7pm, experts from around the Twin Cities will join us in Weyerhaeuser Hall to discuss One Health
issues, followed by a catered dinner reception.
The One Health approach considers the intersections between environmental, animal, and human health. One Health is especially relevant to tackling global health threats such as pollution, antibiotic resistance, emerging infectious diseases (such as COVID-19), zoonoses (diseases that can spread between animals and humans, such as flu, rabies and Rift Valley fever), and food/ water safety and security.
We will have an introduction to One Health, followed by presentations on agriculture and antibiotic resistance, influenza and thegrowing threat of emerging infectious diseases, and climate change and food security in West Africa. There is room for questionsbetween each speaker.
Everyone is welcome!
