As part of our Racial Justice Fund Project (@macalestercollege), Adelante is collaborating with the amazing @blacklatinamovement and bringing BLACK LATINA, THE PLAY to our campus.

Join us on Thursday 30 at 7 pm in the JBD Lecture Hall (lower level CC). The Black Latina Movement will perform their story and stay for a Q&A with our community. This is their description of their performance:

"THE CHARACTERS BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN ALL BLACK LATINAS FROM SKIN COLOR AND HAIR TEXTURES, TO FACIAL FEATURES AND BACKGROUNDS. BLACK LATINA NOT ONLY DEALS WITH THE "TRADITIONAL" BLACK/WHITE IDEAS OF RACISM WITHIN THE U.S., BUT ALSO EXPOSES COMPLEX INTERNALIZED RACISM BETWEEN AFRICAN AMERICANS, HISPANICS, AND BLACK LATINOS."
