AnthroTuesday - Rachel Mueller ‘13

AnthroTuesday is a gathering, open to any Macalester student, to connect/network with cool Mac alums, learn about life after Mac, and eat free pizza. Macalester alum Rachel Mueller ‘13 will be joining us to talk about her work as a documentary director, journalist and cinematographer on Tuesday, February 6th from 11:30 - 12:30 in CARN 06A. 


Rachel Lauren Mueller ‘13 is a documentary director, journalist and cinematographer whose stories focus on themes of power, identity and rural life. With her background in anthropology and investigative journalism, she creates films that interrogate power structures while embracing expansive imagination. Rachel’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Yale Climate Connections and Berkeleyside and her films have been supported by organizations such as Aljazeera Arabic, the International Documentary Association and the Minnesota State Arts Board. Rachel has a Master's of Journalism from UC Berkeley with a focus in documentary. Her first feature documentary about a town's clash with their white supremacist pagan neighbors, is forthcoming.
