Death, Care and Consequences by Erik W. Davis

Join Law Warschaw Gallery in welcoming Erik W. Davis, Professor and Chair, Department of Religious Studies, Macalester College, for a lecture that proposes possible relationships between death, care, and power with a focus on Cambodian Buddhist practices, but also through comparative examples from elsewhere in the world. Davis wrote the book Deathpower: Buddhism's Ritual Imagination in Cambodia (Columbia University Press, 2016), which inspired the current Law Warschaw Gallery exhibition’s namesake and its conceptual points of departure for its curator, Erin Robideaux Gleeson.
