What is Leadership, and Why Does It Matter?: Our Evolving Understanding of Leadership

Based on content from Leadership Theory: Cultivating Critical Perspectives, 2nd ed. (Dugan, 2024), this experiential workshop series provides an introduction to leadership development, the study of leadership, and why it is important to understand all of the ways in which leadership shows up in our lives. By engaging in hands-on activities, group discussion, and personal reflections, participants will examine popular leadership theories through the lens of Critical Social Theory, applying this knowledge to better understand their own perspectives on leadership and the ways in which they practice leadership in their daily lives.

Free food will be provided.

Students who attend five of the seven sessions offered this fall will receive a free sweatshirt!
