Workshop: Approaches to Race and Islam in America
Join the Religious Studies Department for a lunch workshop on approaches to race and religion led by Dr. Yasmine Flodin-Ali. Specific focus will be on the scholarly methods and theories related to the study of Islam and race and religion and race in the American context. Yasmine Flodin-Ali is an Assistant Professor of Modern Islam in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Her current book project focuses on early twentieth century Muslim movements in the United States.
