Please join us to celebrate the 2024-25 Smail exhibit by artist Stephanie A. Lindquist. As Macalester’s first Artist-in-Residence (2022-2024), Lindquist collaborated with activists, educators, students, and community members around the Mississippi River. Her exhibit highlights these collaborations – sailing with college students down the Mississippi River to the Gulf, making paper from Cottonwood seeds, and completing paintings using the hued soils of Mni Sota Makoce prairies, ancient lakes, bogs, forests and urban gardens. There will be a brief welcome and artist remarks from roughly 5:15pm - 5:45pm.
