Tobacco Talk
Health Promotion is pleased to present Tobacco Talk on February 25th, 12-1pm, in OLRI 250. Hear from attorneys, Kelly McAnnany '01 and Willow Anderson of the Public Health Law Center at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Kelly provides legal technical assistance on tobacco control issues to a wide variety of important stakeholders through her work. Willow spent over 10 years working for the Minnesota Attorney General's office and has tried cases in almost every Minnesota county. Kelly and Willow will discuss the ways that the tobacco industry preys upon vulnerable people, particularly historically marginalized communities, as well as other salient issues related to tobacco industry legislation and litigation. With this event, we hope to empower students to make informed decisions about tobacco use. The format of this event will be a lecture followed by Q&A. Pizza lunch provided!
