PushBall: The Macalester Tradition
The first Macalester PushBall game was played in 1914 with a Sophomore Class victory over the First-Years.
In honor of that game the annual PushBall games will be played for Founding Day on Friday, March 3rd, on the Old Main Lawn.
A game of PushBall consists of two teams working against each other to score by pushing a giant inflated ball, 8 feet in diameter, to the designated in-zone. Whichever team has the scores the most in 15 minutes is declared the winner.
The Schedule of games:
4:00-4:30 p.m. - Hot chocolate pre-game, music, and practice
4:30-4:45 p.m. - Game 1: First-Years vs Juniors
4:50-5:05 p.m. - Game 2: Sophomores vs Seniors

5:30-5:45 p.m. - Championship Game: Faculty vs winners of Game 3
