Psychology Department Johnson Lecture Series: Mark Stanton
On Wednesday, March 12 from 5:30-7:00pm in the Weyerhaeuser Boardroom, the Psychology Department will host Dr. Mark Stanton for the Johnson Lecture Series. Dr. Stanton, Macalester '76, is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Delaware. Dr. Stanton’s research interests include the developmental psychobiology of learning and memory, approaches to this problem that better integrate human and animal research, and applications of these approaches to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). In this lecture, Dr, Stanton will discuss incidental context learning and memory in rats during a period of development that represents the late-infant, juvenile, and early-adolescent stages. These studies seek to acquire systems level knowledge of brain and memory development and apply it to a rodent model of FASD. Light refreshments will be served. Sponsored by the Psychology Department.
