Undergraduate Research Conference: Encounters and Entanglements in Eurasia and Beyond

Join us for the annual Undergraduate Research Conference: “Encounters and Entanglements in Eurasia and Beyond.” Undergraduate students from Macalester and other institutions rose to the challenge with bold, thought-provoking papers. Topics include: Theatrics of resistance in Central Asia, Minority communities in China, Food and survival in the GULAG, and Gender in anime, literature, memes, and film. Dr. Jinyi Chu from Yale University, who will present a zoom lecture titled: “Finding the Universal: Modernism and Cultural Encounters” at 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. CST.
