Event Details

The Macalester Symphony Orchestra will perform a one-hour concert featuring the winner of the Macalester Concerto Competition, Anna Rotolo '19 who will perform the first movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor. Guest artist Allison Charney, soprano, will perform a dramatic aria by Giuseppe Verdi – Pace, pace mio Dio! from the opera La Forza del Destino. Ms. Charney has performed concerts and operas across the country including multiple collaborations with New York City Opera as well as at Alice Tully Hall and concerts with the Philadelphia Orchestra. The Macalester Symphony will also perform music by Johann Strauss. The concert will be conducted by Mark Mandarano.
