Big Questions Event, DC: How do race and class intersect with the #metoo movement?

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED
If you are interested in attending, please contact Hannah Mitchell at 651-696-6894 or email [email protected]

Tarana Burke, an African American civil rights activist, created the #MeToo movement in 2006, long before it exploded in Hollywood. While new #MeToo stories continue to make headlines, questions remain about who owns the narrative, and how those stories are written, especially when it comes to issues of race and class.

Join professor of American studies Duchess Harris and President Brian Rosenberg for a nuanced conversation about history, power, and silence at these and other intersections.
