Intro to Mindfulness: A Buddhist Survival Guide
Here we are, on the edge of spring semester. Staff, students and faculty alike will soon be dealing with classes, inboxes, appointments, meetings, friends, family with never quite enough time. Mindfulness might not change that, but approaching the semester mindfully could make it all more manageable and enjoyable?
Mindfulness is basically paying attention to what’s happening in and around us with an open mind and heart. When we do it – the mind and body respond by relaxing a little bit. That opens the door to a clearer picture of what’s actually happening and that leads to better decisions about what to do next and so the cycle goes; relax, pay attention, engage, repeat.
Come and join us as we do some universal good karma prep work for the coming semester. Learn mindfulness skills that you can take with you into your daily life for a little peace, clarity and connection.
