Dr. Valerie Young's Lunch Session - Overcoming Imposter Syndrome to Thrive at Macalester

The Kofi Annan Institute for Global Citizenship and the Department of Multicultural Life are delighted to extend an invitation to Students, Faculty and Staff to a session with Dr. Valerie Young discussing the Imposter Syndrome and how to overcome it.

Do you ever agonize over the smallest flaws in your work, attribute your successes to luck and timing, or feel like you're lucky to be at a school like this? If you do, or even if you do not, we encourage you attend this event to see that you are not alone in feelings like this, and discover ways to thrive in spite of them.  While academic cultures can foster a sense of not being "enough" in everyone, this session will provide Indigenous People, People of Color and their allies an opportunity to explore how Impostor Syndrome impacts them.

This event is made possible thanks to the additional contribution of the Health & Wellness Center and the Career Development Center.

Box lunches available starting at 11:30AM (will also be available to take after the event).
