An important but often overlooked feature of study away, and return from study away, is food. We learn about the hostland’s food, encounter various “global” foods, have our personal food preferences challenged, make food-related social blunders, and get reverse food shock upon return. At this returnee lunch, Professor David Moore from the International Studies department will kick off a wide-ranging and fun discussion of how food shapes study abroad, as well as our experiences when we return.
