MacExplore Twin Cities: Lab Sciences at HB Fuller (lunch provided)

Join the Career Development Center and Professor Ron Brisbois for an introduction to life as a lab scientist in the corporate context. We will be touring H.B. Fuller's labs and talking with scientists who work there, including Macalester alum Peter Goldberg '11 (Chemistry). We will learn about issues like what experiences you can gain at Macalester that would help you become a corporate lab scientist, what a "day in the life" is like, and when and how to think about graduate school for this sort of career pathway.

All classes and all majors welcome. Transportation and lunch will be provided. You must be available for the entire period to attend this event. Seats are extremely limited, so sign up early, but if you do not plan to attend, please remove yourself so another student can take advantage of this incredible opportunity. If you signed up with Professor Brisbois, you do not need to also sign up here.

What is a MacExplore? MacExplores seek to help you answer questions like: Where can your Macalester degree take you? What do people s do all day, every day in their jobs? What do different work spaces and cultures feel like and what might be right for me? Where can I work and live out my values? MacExplores are designed to help you imagine broadly as you consider your post-Macalester future. We know this is a busy time of year for you, so before registering, please be sure you are available and committed to the entire time frame and date of this trip. We appreciate Macalester students' concerns for both food and financial resources. If you have dietary restrictions we need to be aware of, please email Michele Moylan at [email protected]
