Dying City, a staged reading

Dying City by Christopher Shinn is astory of grief and violence set in the shadow of the Iraq war. Shortlisted for the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the play foregrounds the horrors of our age of endless war as the characters are confronted with the futility of seeking closure after trauma and loss. The play’s late nights and parting conversations conceal desperate attempts to find meaning in a world saturated with bad media and meaningless violence; the glimmer of hope that one day, maybe, we’ll feel better.

With Wren Hess and Mina Kianovsky, directed by Richard Graham.
