Internet Linguistics Poster Session

The LING 194 topics class on Internet linguistics: The Language of Social Media will be having a poster session on Tuesday, April 30th to present the projects they are working on for their final papers! 
Please come join us to see student poster presentations on the politics of emoji, memes, sarcastic punctuation, LGBT identity on Tumblr, the language of online gaming, hashtags, German, Japanese, and Spanish chatspeak, African American word borrowings in chatspeak, Twitter, Snapchat, Twitch.tv, and more! 
Come any time between 1:20 and 2:50 pm to see what the future of internet linguistic research looks like!
