Curated Vietnam War Dialog Display

American Studies will reveal three astounding murals on a Vietnam War theme. The murals, created by Studio Thalo during the October 2018 dialogue at Mac, reflect three perspectives on the war: from war refugees, combat veterans, and antiwar activists. April 30 (or “Black April”) is a date of emotional significance to Vietnamese people, marking the withdrawal of U.S. troops and the capture of Saigon by North Vietnamese forces. With this mural reveal party, the conversation will go public, complete with Asian finger food and comments by the people who actually appear in the murals. The murals will be permanently installed on the first floor of Neill Hall.
