Julian Zelizer, Visiting Scholar Program, The Phi Beta Kappa Society Lecture "Political Polarization and the Road to the Trump Presidency"

Julian E. Zelizer is the Malcolm Stevenson Forbes, Class of 1941 Professor of History and Public Affairs at Princeton University and a CNN Political Analyst. He is the author and editor of over 18 books including The Fierce Urgency of Now: Lyndon Johnson, Congress, and the Battle for the Great Society. Co-authored with Kevin Kruse, his book Fault Lines: A History of the United States Since 1974 was published this year, with his next book coming out later this year, Burning Down the House: Newt Gingrich, The Fall of a Speaker, and the Rise of the New Republican Party. He is currently writing a biography of Abraham Joshua Heschel for the Jewish Lives Series at Yale University Press. Zelizer also writes a popular weekly column for CNN and is a regular guest on the network news shows.
