Propaganda: the Art of Selling Lies Film Screening
Propaganda: The Art of Selling Lies (2019), director Larry Weinstein examines the persuasive power of propaganda, including its long history and contemporary mechanisms of deployment. Exploring many forms of media, the film is a cautionary tale of political power founded on pitched emotion rather than reason. Faculty discussion panel with Kari Shepherdson-Scott (Art & Art History) and Michael Griffin (Media & Cultural Studies) follows the screening.
