BLMatMac Donation Drive

Black Lives Matter at Macalester is excited to announce its very first Donation Drive! Our goal is to collect as many essential items and foods for the Little Pantry and Open Pantry. Open Pantry is going into its 4th year and the goal is to provide essentials for Macalester students facing food insecurity. Little Pantry is a new creation of the Chapel with its goal to provide essentials to the greater St. Paul community. Both pantries are located on the Macalester campus, and we as Black Lives Matter at Macalester support these initiatives in the fight against food insecurity.

The Donation Drive will occur this Sunday June 21st from 12pm-6pm at Macalester College (90 S Macalester St, St. Paul, MN 55105). We are looking for donors (physical items and monetary donations) as well as volunteers!

  1. If you’re able to drive by, please take a look at the flyers for items to donate and we hope to see you on Sunday.

  2. If you’re not able to physically drive items by during this date and time, but would like to send monetary donations, venmo @Fatiya-Kedir. Please access the financial overview of the donation drive for your review.

Even though this event is organized by BLMatMac and is student-run, we really hope that faculty, staff, alumni, and community members feel encouraged and invited to make this a successful event for our Macalester community as well as the greater community of St. Paul.

We hope to see you all there! For more information or questions, feel free to take a look at our Instagram page @blmatmac. “We all do better when we all do better.”
