Trans Futures: A Conversation Around Trans Liberation
Join the Department of Multicultural Life in collaboration with Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Disability Services, and the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement for a panel of Transgender and Gender Nonconforming activists, educators, and advocates on Transgender Day of Remembrance. The conversation will about Transgender Liberation and building Trans Futures! Please Register for the Event HERE Our Panelists! Alex Jenny (She/Her), the Drag Therapist, is a therapist and a drag queen who centers the healing and celebration of trans femmes of color in her work. She is based in Chicago, IL. T. Banks (He/Him) is disability justice and mental wellness advocate, poet and playwright from Madison, WI. Justin Toliver (pronouns: they/them/theirs) is a Black, Queer, and Gender Non-Conforming facilitator, trainer, and educator currently serving as the Assistant Director of the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life at the University Minnesota - Twin Cities. Addison Rose Vincent (they/them) is a 28-year-old educator, LGBTQ+ advocate, and community organizer in Los Angeles. Born in Canada and raised in Michigan, they moved to California in 2010 to attend college and come out as their more authentic self.
