#OwnVoices Library Pop-up

The Dewitt Wallace Library is hosting a pop-up book cart outside of the Campus Center on Wednesday, 4/21, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm and Thursday, 4/22, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. We'll be featuring books from our Own Voices collection. These titles feature diverse characters from marginalized groups and are written by authors from that same group. "Own Voices" started as a Twitter hashtag from Young Adult author Corinne Duyvis, who, as a bisexual and disabled person, felt that we needed to highlight diverse authors and authentic voices.

Our pop-up book cart will feature books from a variety of genres, including Young Adult, Children's, Realistic Fiction, Fantasy, Magical Realism, and Science Fiction, Romance, Mystery, Historical Fiction, Horror, and Nonfiction.

All you'll need to check out a book (or multiple books!) is your Macalester ID. We hope to see you there!
