Join the Department of Multicultural Life on Thursday, June 24 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm for a Summer Block Party at Kagin Lawn. This Macalester community gathering will include lawn games, cultural-specific snacks, karaoke, music, and a spicy ramen challenge. There is a capacity limit at the event. We ask those attending to RSVP using the DML Block Party Registration Form and to observe the updated Mac Covid guidelines. Our number one concern is keeping everyone safe: We ask that you stay home if you are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms or may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 symptoms. We ask that you recognize there is an inherent risk in exposure to COVID-19 in any public space where people are present. By participating in the day, you voluntarily assume all risk related to potential exposure to COVID-19. We ask that you adhere to social distancing guidelines of at least 6 feet. While masks are not required, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) strongly recommend that anyone who is not fully vaccinated continue to wear face coverings indoors in businesses, public settings, and when around people from other households, as well as outdoors when social distancing cannot be maintained.
