Latinx First Generation Talk with Professor Patricia Ybarra and President Suzanne Rivera
Join Professor Patricia Ybarra and President Suzanne Rivera as they engage in a conversation about the intersections of first-generation status and Latinx identity. The conversation will be taking place in the Mairs Concert Hall from 6:00-7:30pm on September 28th. Patricia Ybarra is a professor of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies at Brown. She is the former President of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, as well as a director, dramaturg, and the former administrator of Richard Foreman's Ontological-Hysteric Theatre. President Suzanne Rivera is Macalester College’s 17th president. Having worked in higher education for 25 years, Dr. Rivera is an accomplished leader, instructor, researcher, and scholar. She is an advocate for social justice and brings a strong commitment to inclusion and equity to her role as president. Sponsored by the Theater Department and the Office of the President.
