An Invited Virtual Conversation with Nikole Hannah-Jones for Students, Faculty and Staff
Nikole Hannah-Jones, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter covering racial injustice for The New York Times Magazine and creator of the landmark 1619 Project, will join the Macalester community for a virtual webinar on Thursday, March 10, as part of Women’s History Month. Her discussion will be about her work and the importance to American society, entitled “A Conversation About Truth, History, and The 1619 Project,” as well as interact with audiences during a Q&A session. Open to students, faculty, and staff and will be moderated by Tia-Simone Gardner, assistant professor of media and cultural studies. This event is sponsored by the American Studies Department, Educational Studies Department, English Department, History Department, Media and Cultural Studies Department, and the Provost’s Office. This event is for Macalester students, faculty, and staff from 3-3:45 p.m. CST
