Happy National Library Week, Mac community. This year’s celebration includes a special virtual guest: Macalester's own Max the Cat. Max, a persistent neighborhood tabby, gained worldwide internet fame with his attempts to explore our library; now, a beautiful painting by California artist Liesa Lietzke of our favorite feline has been installed just inside the front entrance on the library's first floor. Learn more about Max's story. Stop by on Thursday, starting at 3pm, to: take a selfie in front of Max, 
get a Max the Cat tote while supplies last, 
make a cute cat button, 
hunt for Max posters, 
grab a cat-themed book from our display, and 
show your love of libraries.
