#CripRitual Exhibition Virtual Panel with Dr. Cassandra Hartblay '06 and Dr. Jarah Moesch
Register to attend on Zoom
Co-curators Dr. Cassandra Hartblay '06 and Dr. Jarah Moesch will visit Macalester (over Zoom) next Tuesday, April 26, to give a presentation about their current exhibition, #CripRitual. The exhibition is "a virtual, multi-sited, participatory exhibition of artworks exploring themes of disability culture and ritual."
During their virtual visit, Drs. Hartblay and Moesch will share more about the project, the curatorial process, designing an accessible exhibition, and the concept of Crip Ritual. They hope that the exhibition website itself will become a useful teaching resource and digital humanities contribution to disability studies, health humanities, and related fields.
This event is open to Macalester faculty, staff, and students, and will be moderated by Joan Ostrove, professor of psychology and director of the Jan Serie Center for Scholarship and Teaching, and Aisling Quigley, director of the Digital Liberal Arts. It is supported by the Making Meaning grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
