Archives | Rare Books Open House: AAPI Heritage
Today is your last chance to sneak a peek at some of the treasures hiding behind the locked doors of the library archives and rare books room! Drop by the library archives (LIB 254) between 4:30-6:30 p.m., when we’ll be offering you another close-up look at objects from our special collections and archives. This month, in celebration of AAPI heritage month, we’ll be featuring beautiful artists' books and some new acquisitions, including works by Collette Fu and members of the Korean American Artist Collective. Preview some of our featured works below, and join us on Thursday to see these and many more collection gems. Reminder: Donations of event flyers and other memorabilia from student orgs help us create a robust archives collection. We will be showcasing a selection of them at this open house! This month, we'd especially like to hear from AAPI-related campus orgs, including but not limited to:
Asian Pacific Islander Desi Americans (APIDA)
Chinese Culture Club
Filipino Association at Mac (FAM)
Japanese Culture Club
Macalester Association for Sub-Continental Ethnic and Cultural Awareness (MASECA)
Macalester Korean Cultural Organization (MacKCO)
Ua Ke (Hmong Student Organization)
Vietnamese Cultural Organization (VCO)
