Spring 2022 Dance Composition and Lighting Design: Solo Performances
The Macalester Theater and Dance Department presents Dance Composition & Lighting Design: Solo Performances, our Spring 2022 final mainstage performance! Solo Performances is an evening of nine solo dances and the culmination of a half-semester long collaboration between the Lighting Design and Dance Composition courses. Student choreographers and lighting designers collaborated in teams from the conception of each solo, and throughout its creative process and performance. Costumes were designed by student designers, and original music was composed for two of the dances. A student stage manager oversaw the tech process and runs the performances. This performance will be held in the Huber-Seikaly Blackbox Theater of the Theater and Dance building in the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center at Macalester College from April 29th and 30th, 2022 at various times listed below. There is no cost for tickets, however, a reservation is required. The box office will open 1 hour before the start of the performance. Please retrieve your tickets up to 10 minutes BEFORE the show at the Box Office, Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center.
