Building a Supportive Environment for Community-Engaged Scholarship
Please join the Serie Center for a session about “Building a Supportive Environment for Community-Engaged Scholarship.'' This session will highlight the ethos, practices, and impacts of community-engaged scholarship (CES) at Macalester. We will explore several examples of CES across disciplines, emphasizing how methodologies of engagement contribute to the expansion of our intellectual community for faculty, staff, students, and the broader community. We will also discuss the recommendations of the CES working group for changes to the faculty handbook that can make Macalester more conducive to these forms of scholarship.
