Academic Attire/Regalia

Wearing regalia for the Commencement ceremony is strongly encouraged. The Provost’s Office has a number of regalia sets with Macalester hoods available to check out  for commencement. We have a variety of sizes and quantities based on previous demand and continue to add additional sets in the more popular sizes.

Closer to the ceremony we will post pick-up times on this page, as well as in the Mac Daily.

Commencement Line-up and Procession

Please gather at 9:45 a.m. in the Hall of Fame Room on the ground floor of the Leonard Center wearing academic attire.  The procession begins at 10:15 a.m.

Volunteer for Commencement 2025!

Every year we rely on faculty and staff to help us make Commencement a success for our graduating seniors and their families. If you’re able to volunteer during Senior week, several roles will be available. More information and a sign-up list will be shared here and in the Mac Daily closer to the event.
