3.14 Human Resources Department Services

The Human Resources Department plans and administers a positive program of personnel administration for staff members and the department in which they work, including such activities as: job design, recruiting services, wage and salary plan, employee benefits, employee transfer and promotion, performance evaluation and assessment, training and development programs, employment counseling, labor relations, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs.

Supervisors and employees are invited to become familiar with the services provided by the Human Resources Department as briefly outlined above. The Human Resources Department’s programs, services and activities are planned and designed to assist supervisors and employees in performing their jobs.

The Human Resources Department staff is available to employees to discuss career goals, and development and promotional opportunities, either for themselves or, if they are supervisors, for their employees.
