Van Class Dates and Registration

Macalester maintains a fleet of passenger vans that are available for rental by recognized student organizations, staff, and faculty under the following guidelines.

• Reservation Requests: Submit a Van Reservation Request form at least ten business days prior to departure date if possible. Vans are rented on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Cancellations: Facilities Services must be notified (facilities@macalester.edu) of any cancellations at least three business days prior to departure date or the group will still be charged for use of the van(s).
• Rental Rates: $57.00 per day plus $0.45 per mile.
• Van Driver Training: All van drivers are required to attend and pass classroom and behind-the-wheel van training. View dates and sign up for an upcoming class on this Google form. Email facilities@macalester.edu with additional questions.
• Additional Travel Requirements: Facilities manages the van reservations, but some groups may have additional travel requirements, especially student orgs. Please see the College’s Student Travel Policy or the Student Org Travel page for more information.
