Erica Petersen

Erica received her M.Ed in Second Languages and World Cultures from the University of Minnesota, her B.A. in French from the University of Iowa and studied at the Carel-Centre de langues Royan in France. Building bridges to other cultures via languages has been a lifelong passion and she treasures her immersion experiences in France, Spain, Cameroon and Nigeria. She previously taught at Eagan and most recently Hastings High Schools, offering college level French courses. Native to Germany she also teaches at the Germanic American Institute in St. Paul. “Our Village Reunion”, a pop-up food distribution site started in the aftermath of George Floyd in Minneapolis is where she can be found on Saturdays.
