Macalester’s site license includes access to ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Story Maps, ArcGIS Pro and many more Esri products and applications! Get started creating your Macalester ArcGIS Organizational Account.

GIS Software on Macalester Campus

GIS software is available in many places on campus. ArcGIS Pro is installed on all Windows computers on campus, including the library and the Geography Department’s GIS Lab in Carnegie 108.

Student Licenses

ArcGIS Pro software and licenses are available for Macalester students, faculty and staff for research and non-commercial purposes. If you have a Mac, take a look at QGIS; it is a free and open source GIS software that runs on macOS.
