Faculty Opportunities

The Kofi Annan Institute for Global Citizenship Dean’s Office offers the following opportunities to engage with Macalester’s faculty colleagues:

  • Faculty Associate Dean is a 3-year position that facilitates KAIGC’s connection with the faculty body. In addition to supporting KAIGC’s operations and community building, the Faculty Associate Dean
    • lends his/her research and communication expertise and faculty perspectives 
    • builds creative platforms to showcase Macalester faculty’s rich knowledge on global/local interconnection
    • encourages faculty colleagues to engage with KAIGC in interdisciplinary knowledge production and place-based action/reflection
    • takes leadership in various KAIGC initiatives such as mentoring students and selecting Davis Projects for Peace proposals
  • KAIGC Faculty Fellowship offers a faculty member two course releases for one year to pursue a project that connects closely with KAIGC’s Purpose and Priority. During the fellowship year, the Faculty Fellow is expected to co-create campus or community learning opportunities with KAIGC colleagues.
