Jon’s work has been informed by graduate studies in Social Work (e.g. mental health with emphasis on social justice) and a passion for radical self-care (e.g. meditation, breath tools, and trauma work). Some of his favorite individual/group topics include effective communication (especially connecting across differences like race, gender, & sexual identity), anxiety management, complicated grief, and mindfulness for depression. He also serves as Counseling Services Coordinator at a local law school (Mitchell-Hamline).
Jon is cis-gender, European-American (100% Polish), heterosexual male, born and raised in Minnesota–both urban and rural settings.
Due to his role as Interim Director of Counseling, Jon is not able to take on new counseling students at this time. He is available for Care Coordination for all students.
